Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 4, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Marix International NV ("Marix", "we", "us") handles your personal data when you visit marix.be, fill in one of our forms, take the Business Insights Assessment or contact us. We process personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Belgian privacy law.

Who is responsible for your data

The controller of your personal data is:

Marix International NV

What we collect and why

Contact form

We collect your first name, surname, email address, company, role and your message. We use them to answer your question and, if relevant, to discuss how we can help you. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before a possible agreement, and our legitimate interest in responding to business inquiries.

Business Insights Assessment

  • Before the first question we ask for your first name and email address.
  • While you answer we record your answers. If you leave the assessment before the end, we receive your first name, email address, the last question you answered and your answers so far.
  • After the last question we ask for your surname, company and role, and calculate your score, maturity profile and recommendations from your answers.

We use this information to show and send you your results, and to contact you once to discuss them, for example to explain the findings or to offer a deeper review. Legal basis: providing the assessment you requested, and our legitimate interest in following up on it. You can tell us at any time that you do not want to be contacted (see "Your rights").

The questions are about your organization, not about you personally. Please do not include sensitive personal information in your answers.

Your score is calculated automatically from your answers. It is information for you; we do not use it to take decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

Webinar download

We collect your name, email address and company to send you the link to the webinar recording, and we may contact you once about it. Legal basis: providing what you requested, and our legitimate interest in following up on it.

Email and phone

If you email or call us, we use your details and the content of your message to answer you.

Technical data

Our hosting provider processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the page you came from. This is needed to deliver the website securely and to protect our forms against spam and abuse. When you submit a form, this technical data is stored together with your submission. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure, working website.

Map on our contact page

Our contact page shows a map with our office location. The map is only loaded when you scroll to it. Your browser then requests the map images directly from OpenFreeMap, which means OpenFreeMap receives your IP address and browser information. We do not receive or store this data. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in showing visitors where to find us. You can avoid this by not scrolling to the map; the address and a link for directions are shown below it.

Cookies and storage in your browser

This website does not use cookies, analytics, tracking pixels or advertising. Our fonts are hosted on our own website, so no data is sent to font providers.

The Business Insights Assessment temporarily stores your progress and contact details in your browser (session storage), so that you do not lose your answers if you reload the page, and so that our contact form can be filled in for you afterwards. This data stays on your device, is not shared with us through this storage, and is deleted automatically when you close the browser tab. Because this storage is strictly necessary for the function you use, it does not require consent.

Who receives your data

We do not sell your personal data and do not share it for advertising. We only share it with service providers that help us run our website and communicate with you, and only to the extent needed:

  • Netlify, Inc. (United States): hosting of the website and storage of form submissions.
  • Resend (United States): delivery of the emails with your assessment results and the webinar link.
  • Google Workspace (Google): our email, used to receive and store our correspondence with you.
  • OpenFreeMap: map images for the map on our contact page (see "Map on our contact page").
  • YouTube (Google): the webinar recording is an unlisted video on YouTube. When you open the link, YouTube's own privacy policy applies.

These providers process your data on our behalf and under our instructions. We may also disclose personal data if the law requires us to.

Transfers outside the European Economic Area

Some of our service providers are based in the United States. Where your data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, this happens on the basis of appropriate safeguards: the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified under it, or the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

How long we keep your data

  • Contact requests, assessment data (completed or not) and webinar requests: up to 12 months after our last contact with you.
  • If you become a client, we keep the data needed for our cooperation for as long as the cooperation lasts and afterwards as long as the law requires (for example for accounting).

After these periods we delete your data or make it anonymous.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy of it;
  • have incorrect data corrected;
  • have your data deleted;
  • restrict how we use your data;
  • object to our use of your data based on legitimate interest, including follow-up contact, at any time;
  • receive the data you provided to us in a structured, commonly used format (data portability).

To exercise these rights, contact us at info@marix.be. We answer within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act on a request.

If you believe we do not handle your data correctly, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit): www.dataprotectionauthority.be.

Security

Our website is only available over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to form submissions is limited to the people at Marix who need it, and we only work with providers that protect your data with appropriate technical and organizational measures. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable care to protect your data.

Children

Our website and services are intended for professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16.

Links to other websites

Our website may link to other websites. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those websites; please read their own privacy policies.

Changes to this policy

We update this Privacy Policy when the way we handle personal data changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
